What's this growth on my dog's leg? Is it serious or will it go away?

I'm trying to figure out what this is on my dogs leg.

This looks like a benign skin growth. Sometimes with young dogs such as Negra these growths are there for a month or so and then go away. Please take a photo and measure the growth so you will know if it's getting bigger or smaller. If it's still there in a month or getting bigger quickly then please take her in for an exam. They can aspirate it and check the cells to determine what type of growth it is. They may recommend surgical removal and biopsy also. Luckily it appears to only be in the skin and should be easy to remove if needed. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Negra.
