My rescue kittens have infected paws, flaky nose, and hair loss.

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 19 days old

Hi, I have 3 rescue kittens born in Feb 13, I took them in when they were 7 days old. I fed them diluted cow’s milk initially, after 15 days Pupstart a supplement for kittens. I got them dewormed recently and now they seem to have some sort of infection, they have infected paws, one has a flaky nose, one has no hair on the neck. I went to the Vet and was suggested an antibiotic, a cream and a supplement tonic. Now they are on Lactol. Please let me know what went wrong and how can I fix this.

Thank you for using PetCoach. Sometimes skin infections can develop in bottle babies because they don't have a mom to groom them. Be sure they are staying clean with no formula, urine or feces on their fur. This may entail daily sponge baths and changing bedding/towels at every feeding. If they do not improve, discuss other things with their veterinarian such as testing for ringworm or parasites. Here's a bit of info on orphan kittens http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=576 Good luck, they're adorable.
