Why is my 7-month French Bulldog vomiting after eating?

Hi. I have a 7 month old male frenchbull dog who just recently has started being sick he has always been on the same food the breeder sent him home with (simply) I feed him 4 meals a day sometimes he's sick shortly after eating which at first I thought he was just regurgitating . I've tried soaking his food and giving it dry today I gave him it dry he wasn't sick then 4 hours after his second feed he started being sick again ?

I'm sorry Reg isn't doing well! He could be vomiting because he has a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, a foreign body, or intestinal worms among other causes. I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. As for the amount of times you are feeding him, at seven months of age he only needs to be fed twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Take the daily recommended allotment of food on his bag, and divide it into two equal meals. Best of luck!

No, that's not safe. I can give you a home remedy for Ottis to see if that helps. Hi my French bulldog pup is nearly 11 weeks old I have got up this morning and there is 2x vomit on the floor and 5x diarrhoea on my floor what do u recommend?
As very often these episodes are only dietary related I would suggest to withhold food for the next 8-12 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice lethargy or inappetence. I would recommend stopping mixing hot water with her food, this isn't good at all, and i also recommend feeding the same amount but divide it to 3 times a day instead of 2- until the age of 6 months.

I would discuss with the veterinarian the possibility of brachycephalic airway syndrome. This is a disorder of breeds such as French bulldogs which can result in regular vomiting and regurgitation due to unnatural pressures within their body, as they struggle to breathe through small nostrils and a long soft palette. It's possible that the vomiting is caused by a slight change in diet or stress from moving to a new home. If Tyson has a poor appetite or develops diarrhea or lethargy, or if the vomiting lasts longer than 24 hours, I would recommend having him checked out by a vet.

Poor guy. Bruce is very ill and in need of medical care. His symptoms are suggestive of a viral infection (Parvovirus if he was not fully vaccinated), bacterial infection or undelrying organ malfunction (pancreas, kidneys, etc). He needs a proper exam and bloodwork analysis to a start and try to narrow down the possibilities and get a proper diagnosis. He also need supportive care treatment such as anti-nausea medicaiton, fluids, and anything else that will treat his specific condition. I would take him in to your local vet immediately or he will likely not be able to recover from this. Best of luck to you and Bruce and I hope he is able to get we soon.
