Is my 4-month-old Pekingese puppy pooping too much? What to feed?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pekingese | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 24 days old | 15 lbs

How to properly feed my 4 month old Pekingese? I’m asking because he poops about 3-4 times a day, big poopies, not sure if that’s normal or not. He weighs 7lbs.

I don't think Odin should be defecating that much. Sounds like a lot! It may be related to his diet. I would suggest Royal Canin diet like this one for mini/small breeds: ( https://www.royalcanin.com/products/royal-canin-size-health-nutrition-mini-puppy-dry-dog-food/3000 ) Feed according to the instructions on the packaging. If !fter a few weeks of eating the new food you do not notice a change in the stools then I suggest you get him to a vet for a exam and fecal test. Hope this helps. Best wishes!
