Why is my senior dog suddenly getting hives and stomach noises?

My 14 year old boxer has recently had noticeable rumblings in her abdomen. This has fluctuated for two weeks, still has appetite. Today she is uncomfortable and seems to have hives. You can feel the sweeping and see them thru her coat. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 70 lbs

These do look like hives, which are usually a sign of an allergic reaction. An allergic reaction can occur secondary to a number of different triggers and often the inciting cause is never identified. Allergic reactions are considered an emergency and require prompt treatment with antihistamines and often corticosteroids, so I would recommend seeing an emergency veterinarian. I am not sure how to link that with the recent noises in Lilly's stomach and the two problems may not be related.
