Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This could be excessive normal ear wax, an ear infection, or something trauma related (whacked himself enough to cause a little bleeding, etc.) In any case, I’d head to the Pet store and pick up a dog ear cleaner and clean out the ear. If more fluid comes back within 12 hours or if you see anything concerning, head to the vet at the first available appointment. Best of luck to you and Bailey!
