Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Male | 9 years and 2 months old | 120 lbs
Our American bull dog has developed an ulcer in his eye of late could you tell me if the cold air effects it and would make it worse please as he's a house pet and his eye seemed to be improving but we've come away in our caravan and though he sleeps in it at night hes out in his own tent during day. His eye improvement seems to be doing a backward turn now as getting worse more closed than before now. Going to keep him in caravan 24/7 now. He's on vetinary eye drops.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If Brian is under Veterinary care and is receiving antibiotic eye drops prescribed by your vet then the ulcer should heal. Most uncomplicated ulcers heal with in 5-7 days. You should recheck with your Vet to be sure it has healed. I do not think cold air caused the ulcer or will make it worse. Dust, running into branches or other plant material may have caused the original injury so I would leash walk him and don't leave him outdoors long unsupervised until the eye has healed. I hope this helps!
