My dog has a spot on his lip. Is it dog acne or Alabama Rot?

Hi, my dog went on a walk around muddy woodland today and now has this little spot thing on his bottom lip. Wouldn’t have even thought twice about it except for hearing about Alabama Rot. Does anyone know what it could be?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is possibly dog acne. This is very unlikely to be Alabama rot. You can buy online or at your local pet store chlorhexidine based pads which are an antimicrobial you can apply twice daily for a week. If no improvement, have him evaluated by your veterinarian at that time for further assessment and treatment as other possibilities include skin allergies or mange for instance. Good luck!
