First-time dog mom: Is my dog in labor? What's a normal temperature?

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 60 lbs

I think my 4 year old female pitbull Izzy Maybe getting ready to go into labor but I'm not sure she's been really uncomfortable and constantly licking I guess you could say trying to wet her mouth I took her temperature and it's a 100.4 what is a normal temperature and could she possibly be getting ready to go into labor please help this is my first time more the female dog giving birth and she keeps getting up from laying down I'm going to my back door like she wants to go outside

Dogs reliably deliver their pups between 63-65 days, so that should be your marker. Dog temperature varies between about 100 and 102, so her temperature is very normal. What you describe does make me think she is uncomfortable. I would recommend watching her belly closely for signs of contractions. If she goes outdoors go with her. You don’t want her delivering a pup outdoors and leaving it. If 3-4 hours go by with no progression you may want to have her evaluated by your veterinarian.
