My dog had a bump on her back, now it's a hole. Should I worry?

So my dog had a bump on her back by her tail earlier and i looked later it was gone... hours passed I looked at it and its a little hole where the bump was. Any idea. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 17 days old | 35 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This could have been a small cyst, a small sting/bite (tick, other), or something like an area where a thorn or pricker was. Clean it out gently with some warm water or a little hydrogen peroxide. Keep an eye on it and if it becomes red, inflamed, has discharge, or you have any concerns, see the vet at your earliest convenience.
