Hello doctor ! I crushed some cloves to clean my dog's teeth. But he swallowed them. Are they safe for dogs. Pls help! Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | 1 year and 3 months old | 52.9 lbs

Cloves really aren't safe for dogs, as they can cause liver issues, but not as severe as in cats. Keep a close eye on Mike, and if you see any concerning signs, have him seen by a vet immediately. Do not use cloves again to clean his teeth. Best of luck.
