My dog's belly skin is pale. Is it a health concern or weather?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 23 lbs

My dog's skin (notably her belly) is pale. Last time I checked it was pinkish. Her ears and gums are pink but I am still worried. She's a parvo survivor (last June 2018) and was anemic during the ordeal, also the vet said she has a weak immune system. Should I worry? Or is it weather related? It's a little colder here than the past days.

The color of the skin can vary with temperature changes. I would expect anemia experience a year ago to have gone back to normal by now. If Maroo exhibits any other abnormalities, like lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, rectal temperature over 103, then I would definitely have her examined by the vet.
