Pet's info: Bird | Parakeet | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 21 days old
I have done some research and many people say that if a bird bites you, you should ignore it and not react. But I had some advice from a friend who has owned birds saying that if they bite you should gently gold their beak down or hold them and cover them with your hand so they are in the dark because it calms them? Which is the correct way? My budgie doesn't bite I'm just curious. Thanks!

There are many ways to train your bird not to bite. I don't think the way you described is a recommended way though. I suggest you refer to this article: ( https://www.petcoach.co/article/bird-biting-why-they-do-it-and-how-to-correct-it/ ) There are some really good YouTube videos about this subject that you can review too. Just remember, this is not a quick fix. It takes time and patience to resolve this type of behavior.
