Pet's info: Dog | Morkie | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 5 months old | 10 lbs
Hi, Nina has been experiencing irritation in both her ears, tail, & a mild case of dry skin. She’s an inside pet, bathes regularly, and never around other animals. I’ve attempted ear drops and ointments, but she panics or licks it off. My biggest concern is that she’s beginning to pant throughout the day, pace around, seems parched. I want to take her to the local vet but she’ll shake, bark, bite, & run off (she’s not a fan of public places or strangers) Any medication tips/advice? Thank you.

Poor girl. Unfortunately you will need to take her in for this. Over the counter cleaners aren't strong enough to treat for a true ear infection in dogs. If needed, the vet can give her a mild sedative to help calm her down enough to allow then to treat her. There are also suppository medications available to treat pets ears in cases like this where it is difficult to medicate at home. These are available through your veterinarian. I do hope that your fur baby Nina is able to resolve her ear infection soon! Best wishes and take care.
