My cats' eyes are irritated on and off, is it allergies or infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old

My cats eyes have been irritated for 2 months now, but it comes and goes and is very inconsistent. I thought it may have been seasonal allergies, until my other cat began to get irritation with his eyes, too. My other cat just showed these symptoms today. Any suggestions?

This could be allergies but it could be a viral or bacterial infection. I cannot tell from the photos. I suggest you use this eye gel on both cats for a week or two. If no improvement then you should have them checked by your vet. ( ) You may also want to get a Molekule air purifier (or similar) to remove allergens from the home. ( https://molekule.com/ )
