My snake has an orange spot after shedding. Is it scale rot or injury?

Does my snake have scale rot and if so, how do I treat it? She shed today and this was not there before. Is this super dangerous, or will it go away? She shed in all once piece except for a flap on her face. I took it off and there’s was that tiny orange area you can see in the photo. It reminds me of an old scab? Pet's info: Reptile | Kingsnake | Female | 2 years and 4 months old

It doesn't look like rot, but looks can be deceiving.It could have been caused by some trauma or a rough shed. You should never pull a shed off. Let it fall off on its own or soak/mist to make it easier to shed. Monitor the spot for redness, swelling, discharge, bleeding or if it begins to spread. You can dab it gently using a cotton swab and a diluted Betadine or chlorhexidine (Hibiclens) solution. If it doesn't improve, see your veterinarian.
