Why is my bearded dragon's poop red? Is it watermelon or parasites?

Question

My beardie has red stuff in the brown part of his poop. The urate(white part?) is all white. No yellow or red. I have been giving him watermelon so could that be why its red? Does he have a parasite? Pet's info: Reptile | Bearded Dragon | Male

Thanks for reaching out about Drogo and including photos. As long as active and doing well, discontinue watermelon to see if stool problem clears up. Fruits have high sugar that could stimulate bacterial growth and bleeding. If red feces continues, a veterinary visit is recommended to assess for parasites or bacterial enteritis. Good luck.
