Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Airedale Terrier | Male | 1 month and 6 days old | 5.512 lbs

My pets private part was wounded and it swollen. It looks like the urine is stuck because its wound is dry. How can I treat this using home remedies? Or how can I soften its wound to let the urine out?

The prepuce is very swollen. This is not normal. There is likely a serious problem going on and he needs to see a veterinarian for an exam. There are no home remedies that can be recommended without knowing the underlying cause of his condition. You can use warm water to wash the opening to the prepuce to see if you can "open" it and you can ice the rest of the prepuce to see if you can get the swelling to go down. That is the best I can tell you right now without more information.
