My cat is lethargic and not eating after spay. Is this normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

My cat is acting strange after her spayed surgery, she’s not eating nor is she being active and just laying around, should I be worried? She isn’t acting like her self and it’s worrying me :(

I'm not sure how long ago Xenon was spayed, and while you would expect some lethargy and decreased appetite the first 24-48 hours after surgery, the cat should start to perk up after that time. If it's been 48 hours since her surgery and she is acting this way, I'd take her into a vet now to get checked out. Best of luck.
