My new cat is lethargic, not eating, and mouth open. What's wrong?

i adopted a male adult cat day before yesterday. yesterday, he began sneezing excessively. the sneezing has stopped today but he is lethargic, his appetite has decreased, he's not drinking water, he has been holding his mouth slightly open, and has drooled once. no disharge from eyes or nose.

It sounds like poor Lieutenant may have a respiratory infection. It's quite concerning that his appetite has decreased and he's not drinking water. Try gently warming really smelly wet food like sardine or fish based. First thing in the morning, have him seen by a vet. I hope this helps!
