i grabbed my dogs back legs near his hip area to like move him back and he yiped. did i do it too hard? he runs and walks fine. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 12 years and 3 months old | 20 lbs

Bear was probably just startled by your touch. If he is otherwise acting normal I would not be too concerned. If you notice any limping or lethargy you should probably take him to your vet to make sure nothingntoo serious is going on.
