Pregnant dog due date passed, no labor signs. Is this normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 7 months old | 130 lbs

Hi, My Bella is a Rottweiler. She is 7.5 years old. We bred her via Surgical Insemination on 3/01/2019. Her Pro. test was done the day before, 2/28/2019 = 11.42. We think she had a 'silent week', in the past, usually 4-5 Pro. tests; This is Bella's second litter. 3 years ago; 9 healthy pups. She is only panting now and then no other signs of labor. Vet trip yesterday, we did Pro. test result = 3.79, ultrasound = pups hearts beating, X-ray = 8 pups heading the correct way. Is she overdue? or OK?

Dogs will gestate anywhere between 58 and 68 days. Typically, the progesterone level will drop to around 2ng/ml about 48 hours prior to labor and then again to 1ng/ml about 24 hours before labor. You should also monitor her temperature. Labor typically follows within 24 hours of a drop below 100 F. If your vet is not concerned, be patient. Bella is almost there!
