My dog has Giardia. Is looser stool normal after starting meds?

My dog was diagnosed with Giardia on Thursday and has started his rounds of medication. He’s on an antibiotic, probiotic and a paste to help firm his stool back up. It seems that his stool is getting looser since starting. Is this normal at first? He’s in good health besides this, active and has a good appetite still. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 7 months and 3 days old | 57 lbs

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Sprig. It will take some time for the medications to start working. If his stool does not show improvement within 48 hours or if he develops if he develops blood in the stool, I would let his veterinarian know. Otherwise it should be fine.
