Swelling under my cat's eye: What is it and what can I do at home?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | 10 years and 9 months old | 14 lbs

Snowball has this to come up under his eye.What does this look like.I know without seeing him its hard to diagnose.Im just asking what it looks like to you.And what I can do for him til he goes to vet.Which is like really soon

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Snowball. He may have a skin infection affecting the skin surrounding his eye. This can happen as the primary problem such as the result of an allergy. It could also be the result of self trauma. If he is continually paw at the eye, then can cause damage. If his eye hurts or itches, he will want to paw at it. His veterinarian will examine him and may recommend some eye tests. In the meantime, place an E-collar on him to prevent her from pawing if he has been doing so. I hope this information helps!
