How to tell if my dog's uterine infection is gone before breeding?

Ok I had just asked a question about my girl Izzy but now I have another one about her she was diagnosed with the up topical uterus infection on January 3rd how would I be able to tell if her infection has been cleared up because she is in heat and been tied up with my husbands dog. Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 60 lbs

Given the infection was back in January and it's now May, I would expect the infection (if treated) would have cleared up by now. She wouldn't have been able to go into heat with the infection, and Izzy would only tie if she is in heat.
