Is it safe to walk my dogs after parvo, especially for constipation?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 5 lbs

My two dogs got infected with parvo three months back and they successfully got treated. My doubt is if I can take them out for walks now coz one of my dogs has not passed stool since three days and I think a walk could help her pass stool

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. You can absolutely take your dogs for walks safely. If they have been exposed to and treated for parvo, and if they are vaccinated against the disease, they are very unlikely to get infected again. I hope this is helpful!
