Gabapentin has quite a large safety margin, the maximum dosage is about 15mg per pound but even a higher dosage for a one time ingestion is not likely to cause any severe side effects. how much does you puppy weights?

That dose equates to about 15 Mg/kg, which is still within the dosing range. She may be very groggy but should not have any other concerns. If you have any concerns that she isn’t doing well or you want to have her observed it is never wrong to have her evaluated by a veterinarian. If this happened with in the last hour or less then vomiting could be induced. I always recommend doing this at the veterinarians office to avoid complications, but here is a link to inducing vomiting at Home in situations that you cannot get to a veterinarian. https://www.petcoach.co/article/4-things-to-consider-before-inducing-vomiting-in-dogs/ Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.

Thank you for providing Cooper's weight in your question, it's very helpful in answering! In veterinary medication, Gabapentin has many uses, such as treating seizures, pain, and anxiety. For example, if we were to use Gabapentin to treat anxiety, it can be used in a dose range of 5-30mg/kg up to three times daily. If he is 30 pounds, that's about 13.6kg. If we dosed him at the max of 30mg, that would be 409mg of Gabapentin he would be allowed to have at one time. This means that the amount he ingested (300mg) is a safe amount for him to have, but I expect that he will likely be very sleepy from this pill. I hope this helps!

Gabapentin is used frequently and safely in dogs. Please see the following article for dosing information (scroll down a little). https://www.petcoach.co/pet-medication/gabapentin/ If she isn't improving significantly in the next 2-3 days, please take her to your vet to have it evaluated. Additionally, if she starts to seem worse, or develops any other symptoms, take her in to your vet sooner.

Yes, this should be just fine. Gabapentin is frequently dosed three times daily in many dogs, so this isn't uncommon at all. It also has a very high margin of safety, so I wouldn't expect to see any problems unless she ingested the entire bottle at once :) She may be a bit more drowsy than usual, but otherwise should be fine.
