Pet's info: Small Animal | Rat | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 1 day old
My rat is making odd noises that sound like he is chewing on rubber however his brother is not acting any differently and Lucius is acting perfectly normal prehaps even happier than ever despite the noises. He has enough food ,water, enrichment and an active cage layout and I am really confused as to what is wrong with him, especially since he starts doing it at around half 9 pm. I will take him to vets if that is what is recommended as my question earlier did not give any detail

Hi, and thanks for your question. Often this presentation is compatible with an upper respiratory tract inflammation/infection or possibly to a chronic rhinitis (inflammatory, allergic, infective). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics may be needed.
