I just adopted my dog, the shelter said he was neutered but he still has a ball sac. They are very bruised, but should they be there? Will this shrink up? Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | 30 lbs

Yes, this is likely normal. There is usually some post operative swelling. The scrotum will eventually shrink down. Monitor for excessive swelling, discomfort, lethargy, bleeding, bruising or discharge.
