Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 7 years and 5 months old
Should I be worried that my cat is drinking nearly an entire bowl of water in a day ?? He's been sick and the vet at the welfare gave antibiotics and said he'd be fine, and that everything else was normal besides the bacterial infection. I change his water in the morning and by the evening the bowl is almost empty again.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Tigger. Increased thirst and subsequent increases in urination can be the result of a medical problem. I recommend letting his veterinarian know of this change in behavior. He will likely need blood work and urine samples tested. Diabetes, kidney disease and thyroid disorders can all affect thirst. I hope this information helps!
