My guinea pig has foot spurs. How can I safely remove or treat them?

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. This does appear to be spurs as you stated. It is a type of hyperkeratosis (overgrowth of skin cells). They are not harmful in most cases so you can elect to do no treatment as long as they are not causing Oreo any harm. If you want to remove them you can use some human nail clippers to trim the excess - be careful not to trim too close to the skin or you may cause bleeding and subsequent infection. Hope this helps.
