My guppy had babies in a small tank. How do I keep them and mom safe?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My guppy just had babies, and i have a small fish bowl but i don't want my female to die or eat the babies, and i'm afraid if i put her in the small glass fish bowl (about 1 gallon) that she might die. i looked it up already and it says that probably not a good idea. Also i have no plants in the fish small bowl or rocks or anything. just water. What should i do?

I agree and do not recommend to move the female. If your tank is big enough, you can usually purchase a breeder net and keep the babies in there. Otherwise I recommend to purchase many fake plants...etc to provide hiding so that some of the babies make it. Best of luck.
