My puppy sits suddenly, licks legs/butt. Should I take him to the vet?

Hello, I have a almost 7 month Goldendoolde puppy and I’m a little concern about something. Recently his been sittting down really quick, like something is bitting him on his butt. It’s a quick sit down and you could tell he doesn’t like it. Then right after he will lick or bite his legs. Should I be concern and take him to see a vet? Thanks. Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Male | neutered | 6 months and 18 days old | 53 lbs

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Hunter. That behavior does sound a little bit strange, and I'm wondering if he may be painful in his back end, like his hips or spine, or there could be a problem with his anal sacs (impacted). I do think this is worth a vet visit, so I would take him into one in the morning. Best of luck.
