My Golden puppy has eye gunk. Could it be pink eye or irritation?

My Golden Retriever puppy of 6 months has a little eye gunk that keeps coming back when i wipe it. She has light pink around her iris. I think it looks like pink eye, or just an irritation since she was in the lake. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | unspayed | 6 months and 25 days old | 52 lbs

I agree that Luna Belle may be starting to brew an infection. Continue to keep the area clean and make sure she does not rub at it since this could make it worse. If she continues to have the discharge beyond 48hrs, if it starts getting worse or if it seems like it bothers her, have her examined by the veterinarian who will likely prescribe medication.
