Is it safe to get my puppy's 12-week shots a couple days early?

Is getting my puppy his vaccination two days before his 12 week dangerous?

It's great that you want to get Miko up to date on his vaccines! There is usually a little leeway between booster vaccines, but if you are talking about his Rabies vaccine then taking him in early may not be possible due to state laws regarding timing of Rabies vaccine administration. He will likely need boosters every 3-4 weeks until he reaches 16-20 weeks. He will then probably need vaccines again a year later. Vaccines that he will likely need include Canine Distemper Virus, Adenovirus-2, Parvovirus , Parainfluenza Virus and Leptospira (often administered in a combination vaccine called DAPPL to reduce the number of injections), Rabies, and Bordetella bronchiseptica (often called the "kennel cough" vaccine). Your vet may also recommend the Lyme and Canine Influenza vaccines, based on your location and Miko's lifestyle. I also recommend having Miko neutered and microchipped and signing him up for pet insurance.
