Cat dehydrated, breathing heavy, no vet. Can I give antibiotics?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I only found out my cat was severely dehydrated last night around 10pm.I'm currently in a remote area,I had to wait for day time.I syringed diluted Hydration salts with Dextrose Powder into my cat's mouth, every few hours until morning came.I was finally able to buy Lactated Ringers Solution and administered subcutaneous fluids about 12 hours after I found my cat's situation. It's been about 3 hours since the subcutaneous fluids.Cat still breathing heavily. No vet near.Should I give Coamoxiclav?

Hi, how many fluids did you administer subcutaneously ? I would inject antibiotics if your cat has got a temperature. Can you think about the reason why she was dehydrated in first place ? Was she vomiting ?
