My dog broke her leg. Will she fully recover and how long will it take?

My dog (Poodle, 8 months old) broke both of her bones in her front leg yesterday evening. We were to the vet today and her leg is temporarily immobilized. She is having a surgery tomorrow, and i want to know if her leg is going to get back to normal after that surgery, and how long is the healing part going to take? Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Poodle | Female | spayed | 8 months and 5 days old | 6.7 lbs

Hello. If you follow all instructions from the surgeon & there are no unforeseen complications, then Sophie should have a complete recovery. She will be uncomfortable for awhile, but she is young & young bones heal very quickly. She will probably need to take things easy for 6-8 weeks, but if the break did not penetrate the skin nor involve any joints or growth plates, she should do great.
