Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Poodle | Female | spayed | 8 months and 5 days old | 6.7 lbs
My dog (Poodle, 8 months old) broke both of her bones in her front leg yesterday evening. We were to the vet today and her leg is temporarily immobilized. She is having a surgery tomorrow, and i want to know if her leg is going to get back to normal after that surgery, and how long is the healing part going to take?

Hello. If you follow all instructions from the surgeon & there are no unforeseen complications, then Sophie should have a complete recovery. She will be uncomfortable for awhile, but she is young & young bones heal very quickly. She will probably need to take things easy for 6-8 weeks, but if the break did not penetrate the skin nor involve any joints or growth plates, she should do great. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
