My 7-week-old kitten has itchy scabs. Should I see a vet now?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Sokoke | Male | neutered | 1 month and 20 days old

Hello, I believe my cat has some kind of a skin disease. He has scabs on his skin (under his right arm and a little around it) and I guess that makes him itchy. Do you have an idea what that is? We have a vet control on Friday already should I take her to vet sooner? It doesn't affects it's eating or behaviour, he's just more itchy than before that's all. Hope you can help me and give me some advice! Ps; he's almost 7 weeks old.

There could be a couple of things causing these scabs such as mites, allergies, ringworm, or fleas. I think Miran should see a vet before Friday. The vet can diagnose what is causing this skin problem, and can treat him. Best of luck.
