My dog was in the cold for an hour shivering. He seems to be fine now. How do I know if he was affected by hypothermia?

Dogs can warm up pretty quickly, so if he is back to acting normally, I would not be concerned. You can monitor for signs of continued shivering, lethargy, decreased appetite.
