My dog was in the cold for an hour shivering. He seems to be fine now. How do I know if he was affected by hypothermia?

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I'm sorry to hear that your dog got quite cold outside. Dogs can warm up pretty quickly, so if he is back to acting normally, I would not be concerned. You can monitor for signs of continued shivering, lethargy, decreased appetite. But if you don't see any of these, he should be OK. I hope this is helpful!
