My budgie is fluffed and lethargic. Is she sick, cold? When to worry?

My budgie is all fluffed up and seems very lethargic she was fine this morning she has still been eating but not sure if she is just cold or sick usually she is full of energy bouncing around the cage excited for us to get her out just not sure at what point to start worrying ?

Thanks for reaching out about Sunshine and including a photo. If after the 13 hours of posting, she is still lethargic, a veterinary visit is recommended. If she is cold, providing supplemental heat should improve attitude almost immediately. Birds are often fluffed when ill and conserve energy by being quiet.. Good luck.

    Thanks for reaching out about Bubbly and including photos. Being lethargic and fluffed are just general signs of being ill. Providing supplemental heat in the 80-85 F range can give support. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Removing perches and placing a soft towel on the bottom of the cage can save energy. Ensure that food and water are within reach. Good luck.
