My dog's lymph node bled after FNI. Could it be salivary glands?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 10 months old | 20 lbs

The vet did FNI on my dog’s lymph node under the jaw and while at it, the lymph node bled. Vet says its possible that the salivary glands are inflamed since its uncommon for these to bleed. Im still worried.

HI, I would not worry as in both cases (salivary gland or lymph node) the bleeding is going to stop spontaneously. Just wait for the results of the fine needle aspirate and take things from there. Your dog is young and strong, hopefully you’ ll receive some reassuring news soon. Sending you positive thoughts !
