Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | spayed | 14 years and 9 months old
my 15 year old (female, neutered) cat came home limping this evening, with tufts of fur missing, and sticky, wet residue around the back of her neck and her bottom area. she looks very traumatised, won't eat or drink, and growls when i touch her

It sounds like Daisy may have been attacked by another animal like a dog or has sustained some other kind of trauma. I wonder if the sticky wet reside is saliva. I would recommend seeing an emergency vet - sometimes there are wounds or even trauma to the lungs or abdominal organs that are not apparent right away. It also sounds like she is in pain and needs some safe pain medication.
