My dog's red, bumpy ear got worse with mite meds. Is it an infection?

My dogs ear is red and bumpy on the inside we suspected she had ear mites but the redness got even worse when we put ear mite medication in her ear. Her ear is usually the picture with the tanish coloring. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 13 lbs

I recommend taking her to a vet so they can test the contents of the ear to find out what kind of infection it is. Once they know, they can prescribe a medication to treat the infection and pain.
