My dog is vomiting, eating grass, and coughing foam. What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) | Female | spayed

My dog recently died, the vet still doesn’t know the cause. While we’re grieving we borrowed our other dog from my step family, she’s come home with us but now she vomited, just like my other dog did when she first got sick. Daisy, my step family’s dog, ate grass from outside and just coughed foam into her water. I’ve attached the X-ray from Lucy, my dog who has just passed, during her final times. Can you tell me if Daisy could get this too, or what she has? I really can’t handle losing her too

Hi, from the x-rays Lucy seemed to have an enlarged heart wether it was just a cardiomyopathy or possibly a mass in her right chest it is impossible to tell. From these xrays I can tell you that Lucy s condition was not contagious, but most likely cardio-respiratory in its origin. I would have Diasy’s Chest checked over but I would try not to worry too much, sending you positive thoughts.
