Hello, as highlighted in the attached photos, I noticed a tiny pink/white speck on Olivia's eyelid. It may have always been there, but I just noticed now. Does it look like pigmentation or could this be the beginning of a meibomian gland adenoma or stye? There is no swelling or redness and it doesn't appear to be raised. It doesn't really look like a "lump", more like a tiny white patch between the darker pigments of her eyelid. Is it worth going to the Vet, or should I monitor it? Thank you.

Thanks for visiting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. This tiny pigmented area could be just a normal change of the skin and is not concerning at this time. I would definitely recommend just monitoring this and if it becomes raised, it is likely a Meibomian gland cyst as you mentioned. Surgical removal can be considered at that time, since these glands can grow quite large in some pets and cause irritation more than anything. I hope that this helps and best wishes with Olivia moving forward. Take care! : )
