Kidney function test done 4 times.also bilirubin is high.the cat is also suffering from anaemia, weight loss & severe stomatosis (ulcerated gums with bleeding and foul smell).doctors are not being able to cure the stomatosis problem, as such dental problem appears time and again.what can be the reason for 1) high bun but normal creatinine 2)anaemia and 3) how can the bleeding gum stomatosis be completely cured?

Unfortunately, Bogu isn’t an easy case with a simple solution. High BUN with normal creatinine could indicate dehydration or early kidney disease. Anemia can be caused by chronic disease, autoimmune disease, parasitic disease or other infectious disease. Stomatitis can be cause by FeLV or FIV infection, other infections, ongoing bleeding, or autoimmune disease. Some cases of stomatitis can be cured after extracting all of the teeth, since it is often an immune reaction to tartar on the teeth. Since tartar cannot be completely prevented, removing the teeth and their roots is often the only solution. Short-term solutions for stomatitis include oral pain rinses, broad-spectrum antibiotics, and immune-suppressive doses of steroids.
