My dog's neck is swollen. Should I continue Pentid or use Chymoral?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered

Its for a stray dog. He had swelling at one side on his neck region & pain at that part.He was not eating only drinking. I gave him pentid 400 for 10 days(6 days he ate morning evening rest only 1ce a day) Now swelling is reduced & he started eating.Should I continue giving pentid for more days? Somebody suggested me to give chymoral forte once along with pentid. Is it safe? Dog is healthy & full size. Age not sure. But at least 4 yes for sure or more. He is fine but lil swelling is still there

Hello. I am so sorry your question was not answered sooner. Based on your pictures, it seems to show that the abscess is improving, so continue the Pentid for another 7-10 days. The Chymoral forte is not necessary & may not be appropriate for this condition. Keep the area clean & dry, especially of any drainage & do make sure you wash your hands after cleaning the wound.
