Why is my dog vomiting, has diarrhea, and is lethargic after dental gel?

Dog has had 2 bouts of diarrhea in last few hours and one bout of vomiting. No food in vomit because she didnt have her dinner yet. Used a dog dental gel for the first time on her this afternoon but that was hours ago. she's mildly lethargic and was panting a small amount but is now just resting. not sure if its the dental gel but that was hours ago so i dont know. Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Female | spayed | 3 years and 8 months old | 11 lbs

Hi, was the dental gel for dogs ? I doubt the diarrhoea was caused by it as the timeframe between the gel ingestion and diarrhoea is too small. It is more likely that Chi has picked up a virus or a bug that cause gastro-enteritis. Try to offer a bland diet and you could offer some probiotics.
