Dog bleeding after nasal cancer radiation: Is this a normal side effect?

Tiny is suffering with adenocarcinoma of nasal origin.He is currently treated with radiation and had 2 sessions till now.As in India there is shortage of options of treatment for dogs he is treated only on Saturday.But still blood is coming from his mouth frequently.Is this normal after radiation? And how long it will take to stop all this symptoms and how long treatment will go on and will radiation work? Attached is ct scan and biopsy report.We are worried a lot for him.He also has swelling.

Hello. It is always very tough to predict where something like this will wind up, especially since there is obvious tumor involvement in the lymph nodes. I do know that the radiation therapy plans here recommend 10 treatments, & you may continue to see bleeding until most of the tumor tissue has been obliterated. Median survival time with just radiation is reported to be 12-18 months. If you elect to have surgery to scoop out any remaining cancer not addressed by the radiation therapy, survival may extend as long as 3 years. Every case is different & waiting for positive improvement is excrutiating, but you must have patience. Hopefully, your pet will do very well.
