My FIV cat is sneezing a lot despite L-lysine. What should I do?

Hi I have a 5 1/2 year old male cat who is diagnosed with FIV approximately 3 years ago he's been on l-lysine for three years it got better with no symptoms at all the whole time and now he still on the lysinne.... He hasn't been sick with a respiratory infection since he's been on the l-lysine but the last 4-5 days he's been sneezing quite a bit... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks Monique

That’s great news that Chase has done so well. The sneezing however can indicate that he could be getting an infection or that it’s something else like allergies or a sinus problem. I recommend to have him examined just to play it safe since FIV positive cats may not have as strong of an immune response (this is highly variable). I hope he starts feeling better quickly and please feel free to post any additional questions.
